Absolutely an amazing experience from start to finish! Cynthia, the owner, was an absolute doll from the moment we booked our snorkel tour! She is kind and beyond accommodating. We had a very special birthday girl whose bucket list was to see the Christ Statue, and Cynthia made it happen! While on our snorkeling adventure, Capt Travis and First Mate David, made the experience so wonderful. We got to see it all, including a spotted eagle ray and a pod of dolphins. They are both knowledgeable and hilarious. They had us cracking up all day long. If you are looking for a snorkel or dive company, look no further!! Thank you guys so much for making our experience such a pleasurable one. We cannot wait to come back! ME, Joy (birthday girl) & Pam
For the price you get what you get however this place was disappointing. I will not touch on the outdated nature of this place, it could use a renovation. My main concern is first on cleanliness, the bathroom was very dirty as well as the floors and when we pulled out the trundle bed there was a LOT of trash under there. In regards to the beds, there was not any pillows for the trundle bed nor was there any spare bedding in the whole room. Every pillow in the place was flat and lifeless, definitely need to be replaced. Towels were of the same quality, the type that have been around so long they may as well be shop rags. I understand we want to be affordable and have a different feel than a resort but there is just some basics of hospitality that need to be considered. I am not angry nor upset as the staff was extremely kind, considerate, helpful, and friendly. My concerns mainly are to deal with the "resort" marketing, it is hard to see this place as a resort. 5 cats outside my room each day, they are not a "problem" but also not professional. There has been no attempt to remove cats from what I can see they actually have a house built for them. Just know what you get when you book here.
I see many review that lump the resort and dive operation together. They are however separate operations and not owned jointly. With that said, this is our experience: Seriously disappointed with the room. We paid for the most expensive room they had, W2B which overlooks the dock/bay on the second floor. The room is seriously in need of updates/repairs. Bathroom had moldy caulking around the tub, no fan and a window would not stay open without a prop (vertical bar of soap). The main room had a nice view of the bay but no place to sit inside??? Only 2 day beds, no couch, no chairs and this is for the most expensive room they have! There is a very small table in the kitchenette with 2 of the most uncomfortable chairs I ever sat in. The outside deck was the only place to hang out but the plastic chairs there were very old and not exactly comfy either, there is a hammock which works for one person. Worst of all is a door which connects to the next room, a cheap hollow core. We could hear every word/snore/sound our neighbors made as well as their TV which they decided to watch until midnight. I complained to the office that there needed to be some sound insulation between. I was told that would be solved right away, it was not. Needless to say I cannot recommend the place and will not stay there again. Too bad for the dive operation that works from this location as they are top notch, can’t say enough good about them. We will dive with them again but will not stay on site.
The resort is nice but a bit run down. The rooms were clean, however the furniture old and in need of repairs. The pool had a bit of debris in it daily. There is a beach area but there is no good access to the water to soak in it. They offer kayaks and bikes which are usually available. Overall it's a nice place to stay, quite, walking distance to restaurants, it's just a bit run-down.
Loved it. We stayed and played (scuba) at the resort. The service, level of activities, and everything else was phenomenal! The dive instructors, boat crew, housekeeping and office staff were amazing. Above and beyond. Diving was great. Saw the big 5 - shark, turtle, moray eels, ray and dolphin over several dives. If you want to lay on the beach all day and avoid the water while working on your tan, this is not the place for you. It is NOT a resort where you stay on property and look at each other. The grounds and pool were ok and nothing special. Although our room was recently updated and super comfy. Bottom line: Great value, great staff, great location, great diving, great staff (I need to say that twice!) We will be back!
