Wonderful place, RSVP is required no parking fee but 90 minutes for time slot fre is required. It was wonderful experience. Water is cold but you warm up to it as you swim. There is snorkeling rental available. Scuba is great. Picnic tables outside, bring your own food. Can't wait to come back.
It's open till 5 pm. You should make reservations before coming here which is good since there would be limited number of people in the spring at one time, not too crowded. Would definitely recommend scuba diving since there are a lot of caves underneath but I went there with friends at 3-4:30 pm slot with snorkeling and not scuba diving and it was a little dark underwater, we couldn't see a lot - fishes, turtles and coral but it looked surreal... Definitely worth going - rightfully the top 3 tourist spots in Florida... It would have been 5/5 if there were some lights underwater...
MAKE A RESERVATION! When we got there reservations were a week out so we couldn't go inside. For $5 a person you can walk around the property but you won't see the cave or the springs. We were told by the receptionist that if you would like to just go on a nature walk that the Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens across the street would be a better option.
Beautiful spring! This was my first SCUBA dive location. It was a good place for me to start out. I went back for dive #10 or so and did more diving into the rocks that I was too nervous to do originally. Good location for multiple skill levels.
This was an awesome experience! The spring is gorgeous! The water is relatively cold so the 90 minute reservation was plenty of time for photos and snorkeling! The snorkeling rentals are in good shape! They also offer a military discount which is always a win!
